Are you shopping for a high MPG car? MPG stands for miles per gallon and is a number that is very important in today's society. The Toyota Prius is the car that brought attention to hybrids. This car gets between 40 and 45 mpg. There are even some non-hybrid cars that are pretty good on mileage including the Saturn Vue, Nissan Altima, Honda Civic and even the MINI Cooper which is not a car you see everyday but one that is good on gas mileage.

The Internet is a fantastic resource for researching high MPG cars. You may find out about some you didn't even know existed. One thing you might want to do is go on some automotive forums and message boards. Ask around for recommendations and see what other members are driving and how much mileage they're getting. Often a recommendation from another consumer is going to be much more helpful than the description from a car manufacturer. Choosing a car with a good mileage rating can help put more money in your pocket and help save the environment, both noble goals we should all strive for.
